The Santa Barbara International Film Festival presents Glenn Close with the Maltin Modern Master Award, in recognition of her services to the silver screen. Leonard Maltin himself will be moderating the evening.

Close began her career on the stage, and made her film debut in 1982's The World According to Garp. She went onto become one of the 80s most recognisable faces, starring as a deranged bunny boiler in Fatal Attraction and the manipulative aristocrat at the center of Dangerous Liaisons. A six-time Oscar nominee, she's also excelled on small screen in the acclaimed legal drama damages, which won her two Emmy Awards. Close's latest movie is The Wife, in which she stars alongside Jonathan Pryce, and may finally be the picture to bag her that well deserved Academy Award!
